Discipline Policies
Your child will develop self-discipline & constructive self-management of conflicts through positive guidance & understanding that every action has a logical consequence. Behavior modification begins with re-direction, warnings, if-then statements, and time away from the group or activity in “The Thinking Spot” or “Time Out”. Discussion of inappropriate actions or behavior will help the child understand what is and what is not appropriate.
Finally, the child can be sent to the Director’s office for time away from their preschool classroom. Discussion of the behavior with the child’s parent for at home reinforcement of appropriate behavior will also occur.
Ultimately, if behavior continues to be consistently disruptive or requires one-on-one care away from the other children, the child will be dis-enrolled.
