General Information
Bright Beginnings Preschool cares for children in Bryan-College Station, Texas and surrounding areas from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM Monday through Friday throughout the year. The only exceptions are the Holidays listed in the Holiday and Closures Tab below.Please note that childcare tuition will not be pro-rated for weeks with holiday or weather closures.
Holiday Closure Days that fall on Saturdays will be observed Friday and those that fall on Sundays will be observed on Monday. Please note that childcare tuition will not be pro-rated for weeks with holiday or weather closures.
Holiday Closures and Special EventsCheck-In Policy
Please make sure to have your child at daycare by 9:00am every day. It is important for them to be on the same schedule as the rest of Bright Beginnings Preschool. We prepare meals and staff classrooms based on your child being here by 9:00AM. Additionally, children are most receptive and ready to learn when they are fresh and rested in the mornings, so we try to pack as much preschool curriculum as possible between 9:00 and Noon daily.
Child Release Policy
Parents or a designated authorized pick up person that we do not know or recognize will be asked to provide identification (Driver’s License or State Issued ID). The person must be listed in the child’s file as an authorized pick up person. For a short term pick up authorization, the parent must communicate with the Lead Childcare Teacher and the Director.
Facility
Our Childcare Facility is inspected daily along with hazard checks that are completed to ensure the safety of your child. We are proud of our preschool facility, how it looks, smells and feels to you and your child. Your child will spend a good deal of time with us; we strive to create a home away from home for your child.
Parents are always welcome at Bright Beginnings Preschool. We would like to encourage you to volunteer your time, share a special talent or skill you have. Please arrange the time ahead of schedule with the Lead Daycare Teacher of your child’s preschool classroom or the Director to set up scheduled time to help or share your special talents or skills.

We will follow Bryan ISD's lead for weather related closures- If Bryan ISD opens with a 2-hour delay so will Bright Beginnings Preschool. If Bryan ISD closes for the day, so will Bright Beginnings Preschool. We will also communicate unplanned closure on the KBTX website, on the BBPS Facebook Page along with communicating thru the BrightWheel App.
Emergency Procedures
Evacuation Plan - Leaving the Facility: Each classroom has an emergency exit map posted with two exit paths for that room. The entire school will re-group outside of the playground chain-link fence (Camelot Park). If there is a need to relocate away from the childcare facility, we will walk the children East on Villa Maria towards William Joel Bryan-College Station Parkway to Broadmoor Place Assisted Living Facility (our relocation meeting spot).

Evacuation Procedure: When evacuating and relocating the children away from the preschool facility, daycare staff will have the classroom attendance clipboard and classroom enrollment form notebook. These will assist us in accounting for all of the children, contacting the parents for relocation pick up instructions and providing us with any medical authorization that may be needed.
Communication: Once we move the children to Broadmoor Place, we will begin communicating with local authorities, parents and childcare licensing. We may also contact local radio and television stations (KBTX) to help get the word out along with using the BrightWheel App to each parent’s cell phone about an evacuation and relocation pick up for Bright Beginnings Preschool children.
